Roadmap to Zero Carbon Investigation

We believe the time has come for a different kind of conversation between local governments and our utility providers. We ask that a new relationship be created that is based upon transparency, increased choices and flexibility for managing energy costs, and improved tools to help meet our climate change goals.

Focus on Energy Evaluation Contract

We support the Public Service Commission’s effort to double the Focus on Energy budget in the next biennium and we believe that adding an analysis of renewable energy to the potential study will provide important data related to that increased budget request. We strongly support the inclusion of renewable energy—and especially solar PV systems—in the potential study and related planning efforts.

Third-Party Solar Financing

We strongly support measures that help to make renewable energy more accessible and affordable to Wisconsin residents and businesses. Transitioning from fossil fuels to renewables like wind and solar helps to create family-supporting jobs, while protecting natural resources, mitigating climate change impacts, and safeguarding public health. For these reasons, we support a variety of third-party ownership arrangements.

Investigation of Parallel Generation Purchase Rates

We believe the time has come for a different kind of conversation between local governments and our utility providers. We want to meet with utilities as partners, working together to solve these complex challenges.
