Resilient & Efficient Buildings Municipal Support Program
WLGCC launched the Resilient & Efficient Buildings Municipal Support Program in partnership with Slipstream, Clean Wisconsin, and a team of state and regional organizations. Through this program, we created a buildings roadmap for local governments, developed resources and tools in support of local efforts, and offered other technical assistance to help increase the efficiency & resiliency of buildings in communities across the state.
Why a Municipal Support Program?
According to the State of Wisconsin Clean Energy Plan, residential & commercial sectors represent 37% of the state’s end-use energy costs, and buildings make up a significant 12% of direct greenhouse gas emissions. Buildings are central to decreasing energy consumption so that local governments can meet their clean energy & sustainability goals. The buildings we live and work in can also affect our health, our pocketbooks, and our community resilience. Through this Resilient & Efficient Buildings Municipal Support Program, we aim to support local government efforts to improve the efficiency & resiliency of buildings in their communities.
Local Government Advisors
We have convened a network of local government advisors across the state to provide input and feedback on the creation of the roadmap and resources.
